What happens when a series of Claymation figures ape the Temptations' version of a Christmas classic?
I do have fond memories of this xmas special. Of course, the Raisins were the draw, but really the other skits were more entertaining/memorable. Looks like YouTube has the whole thing, so I'll have to relive 1988 some evening soon.

I'm pretty sure you can predict where I stand on this.
In order:
1. Muppets
2. Claymation
3. Stop motion (on the order of the late 60s series of holiday/winter pieces -- Rudolph, Frosty, etc.)
Claymation before stop action is kind of a bold statement. One thing that always creeped me out about rudolph was that his glowing nose also made a horrible noise.
Also Frosty = not stop action! But classic nonetheless.
I stand by my claymation placement.
But you're right about Frosty -- a well-deserved exclamation point.
As you can see by the time stamp (seriously, wtf was I doing up at that hour?!) my mind wasn't at its sharpest. I think I was thinking about the abominable snowman, but he was also in Rudolph wasn't he? Or Santa Claus is Coming to Town? *Shrugs*
Ah yes, the abominable snowman. That shit was creepy.
